Peer advocates at loveisrespect, National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline created this list of awareness and fundraising ideas:

  • Hold a bake sale or craft show at school during lunch. Have loveisrespect materials available at the same table.
  • Have an art show during or after school. Ask artists to create pieces around a chosen theme related to dating violence.
  • Ask for a table or booth to distribute dating abuse materials at games or dances.
  • Use MySpace or Facebook to host a virtual fundraiser.
  • Sponsor a PSA or essay contest at school or online. Try to arrange for donated prizes.
  • Arrange a show with local performers or bands. Sell tickets or ask for donations at the door.
